Airtec Large - Walls

LARGE FORMAT WALL BLOCKS
(4.8 stars) • 10 reviews
Description:

Airtec Large wall blocks are designed to provide significantly improved thermal insultation and air-tightness for internal and external walls by reducing the proportion of mortar joints in a wall. This effect is even greater when used in conjunction with 2mm thin-joint construction where the mortar proportion can be reduced by around 87% when compared to conventional walls using 10mm mortar joints.

They can also be used as Flooring infill blocks - see Large Aerated Concrete Floor Blocks for more information.

These large-format blocks can halve the number of blocks required to construct a wall all as opposed to traditional 215mm high wall blocks. However even though they are twice the height of a normal 215mm block, their very low weight complies with the manual handling guidelines and minimises the amount of repetitive lifts required.

All Airtec products are BBA certified, ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmentally and BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing certified.

In common with all other Airtec aerated concrete blocks, they offer the very best possible dimensional tolerance category of 'Thin Layer Mortar B' (TLMB) but are perfectly suitable for conventional 10mm mortar joint construction.

Airtec blocks are available in ‘Standard’ texture finish only, providing a plain-faced, smooth, cellular texture which is a suitable background for accepting renders and plasters. Airtec blocks are not intended for paint-grade or fair-faced applications.
